HOUSE RESOLUTION NO. 591

Commending SUFF.Impact.

Agreed to by the House of Delegates, February 13, 2025

WHEREAS, SUFF.Impact, a nonprofit organization in Suffolk, strives to transform the lives of at-risk youths by providing intervention and prevention programs designed to reduce gun violence; and

WHEREAS, SUFF.Impact empowers young people to break cycles of violence through education, mentorship, and community engagement programs that give them the tools and resources they need; and

WHEREAS, SUFF.Impact inspires hope, resilience, and positive change by fostering safe, supportive environments where young people can thrive and achieve their fullest potential; and

WHEREAS, through its Night of Impact event, SUFF.Impact recognizes outstanding members of the community who have gone above and beyond to support the organization's mission and make a difference in the lives of others; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED by the House of Delegates, That SUFF.Impact hereby be commended for its transformational programs to reduce violence and build stronger, safer communities in Suffolk; and, be it

RESOLVED FURTHER, That the Clerk of the House of Delegates prepare a copy of this resolution for presentation to SUFF.Impact as an expression of the House of Delegates' admiration for the organization's vital mission to build a brighter, more peaceful future for young people.
