HOUSE JOINT RESOLUTION NO. 748

Commending the Center for Nonprofit Excellence.

WHEREAS, the Center for Nonprofit Excellence, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, is a nonpartisan advocate on behalf of the nonprofit sector and the communities it serves; and

WHEREAS, the Center for Nonprofit Excellence is adaptable and forward-thinking, acting with humility and striving for learning and growth, not perfection; and

WHEREAS, the Center for Nonprofit Excellence is committed to equitable outcomes at the organization, in the sector, and in the community and realizes them through learning, sharing, skill-building, and action; and

WHEREAS, the Center for Nonprofit Excellence envisions a region where all community members have the opportunity to thrive, supported by a nonprofit sector that celebrates diversity, values inclusion, and centers equity across all aspects of its work; and

WHEREAS, the Center for Nonprofit Excellence is committed to contributing to a more just and equitable nonprofit sector and helping to drive positive change in the region; and

WHEREAS, the Center for Nonprofit Excellence envisions equitable, thriving, and just communities powered by healthy nonprofits; to achieve that vision, it serves as a champion, learning partner, and advisor to Virginia nonprofits; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED by the House of Delegates, the Senate concurring, That the General Assembly hereby commend the Center for Nonprofit Excellence; and, be it

RESOLVED FURTHER, That the Clerk of the House of Delegates prepare a copy of this resolution for presentation to the Center for Nonprofit Excellence as an expression of the General Assembly's admiration for the organization's contributions to the nonprofit sector in the Commonwealth.
