Celebrating the life of Vernon S. Lee II.

WHEREAS, Vernon S. Lee II, a highly admired employee of Prince William County Public Schools who touched the lives of countless young people, died on February 4, 2025; and
WHEREAS, Vernon Lee grew up in Petersburg, where he began to cultivate his deep faith at an early age as a member of Mount Olivet Baptist Church; and
WHEREAS, Vernon Lee graduated from Petersburg High School in 1985 and continued his education at Virginia State University; and
WHEREAS, Vernon Lee was employed by Prince William County Public Schools and served as a school resource officer at Freedom High School in Woodbridge; and
WHEREAS, in addition to ensuring the safety and security of students, Vernon Lee was a trusted mentor who brought joy to everyone he met through his wit and wisdom; and
WHEREAS, Vernon Lee will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by his wife, Chantelle; his children, Shannon and Vershon; and numerous other family members and friends; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED by the House of Delegates, the Senate concurring, That the General Assembly hereby note with great sadness the loss of Vernon S. Lee II; and, be it
RESOLVED FURTHER, That the Clerk of the House of Delegates prepare a copy of this resolution for presentation to the family of Vernon S. Lee II as an expression of the General Assembly's respect for his memory.
