Commending Bishop Fishing Supply.

WHEREAS, for more than four decades, Bishop Fishing Supply in Yorktown has provided expert advice, outstanding services, and high quality equipment to fishing enthusiasts on the Virginia Peninsula; and

WHEREAS, Bishop Fishing Supply was established by John Bishop on January 1, 1984, and has been serving customers from its current location in Yorktown for 25 years; and

WHEREAS, geared toward the local saltwater fishing community, Bishop Fishing Supply stocks a full range of fishing supplies and apparel from top brands; and

WHEREAS, Bishop Fishing Supply offers affordable reel repairs and cleanings, professional line spooling services, and careful inspection of gears and operating parts; and

WHEREAS, a trusted, longstanding institution in the fishing community, Bishop Fishing Supply also serves as an official weigh station for the Virginia Saltwater Fishing Tournament; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED by the House of Delegates, the Senate concurring, That the General Assembly hereby commend Bishop Fishing Supply for more than 40 years of service to fishing enthusiasts in Yorktown and across the region; and, be it

RESOLVED FURTHER, That the Clerk of the House of Delegates prepare a copy of this resolution for presentation to John Bishop, owner of Bishop Fishing Supply, as an expression of the General Assembly's admiration for the store's legacy of contributions to the local economy and the fishing community.
