SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 320
Commending Pamela J. Sebesky.
Agreed to by the Senate, February 22, 2025
WHEREAS, Pamela J. Sebesky, an esteemed public servant and community leader, concluded her service as vice mayor on the Manassas City Council in 2024; and
WHEREAS, a longtime resident of the Greater Manassas area, Pamela Sebesky graduated from what is today Unity Reed High School in 1983 before earning a licensed practical nursing certification from the Prince William County School of Practical Nursing and a bachelor's degree in nursing from what is now known as the Virginia Commonwealth University School of Nursing; and
WHEREAS, Pamela Sebesky raised two children who attended Manassas City Public Schools, and she served as the parent-teacher association president at Baldwin Elementary School; and
WHEREAS, Pamela Sebesky was elected to the Manassas City School Board in 2010 and worked faithfully for six years to support the students, teachers, and families of Manassas City Public Schools; and
WHEREAS, Pamela Sebesky was elected to the Manassas City Council in 2016 and was subsequently chosen by her fellow council members to serve as vice mayor; and
WHEREAS, by dedicating herself to the success and well-being of her constituents, Pamela Sebesky has epitomized the virtues of public service during her tenure on the Manassas City Council, helping to make the city a wonderful place to live, work, and raise a family; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED by the Senate of Virginia, That Pamela J. Sebesky hereby be commended as she concludes her tenure on the Manassas City Council; and, be it
RESOLVED FURTHER, That the Clerk of the Senate prepare a copy of this resolution for presentation to Pamela J. Sebesky as an expression of the Senate of Virginia's admiration for her contributions to Manassas and the Commonwealth.
