SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 306

Commending Lynn Screen.

Agreed to by the Senate, February 22, 2025

WHEREAS, Lynn Screen, an accomplished university executive and esteemed public servant, has admirably served the Town of Clifton for several years; and

WHEREAS, Lynn Screen graduated with a bachelor's degree from the United States Air Force Academy, received a master's degree in international education from the George Washington University, and gained an executive master's degree in leadership from the McDonough School of Business at Georgetown University; and

WHEREAS, Lynn Screen is currently the university director of learning and development at Georgetown University, supporting the growth and success of the university's administrative employees through a variety of continuous learning opportunities; and

WHEREAS, Lynn Screen has served as a member of the Clifton Town Council since 2020, working tirelessly to promote the safety, prosperity, and well-being of the locality for the benefit of its residents and businesses; and

WHEREAS, as a member of the Clifton Town Council, Lynn Screen was pivotal to the hiring of a new town clerk and a new town administrator, ensuring the town's effective management for years to come; and

WHEREAS, Lynn Screen's unwavering dedication to the Town of Clifton has helped to make the locality a wonderful place to live, work, and raise a family; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED by the Senate of Virginia, That Lynn Screen hereby be commended for her legacy of service to the Town of Clifton; and, be it

RESOLVED FURTHER, That the Clerk of the Senate prepare a copy of this resolution for presentation to Lynn Screen as an expression of the Senate of Virginia's admiration for her contributions to the Town of Clifton and the Commonwealth.
