Commending Donielle M. Scherff.

WHEREAS, Donielle M. Scherff, an esteemed public servant and active and engaged member of the Herndon community, concluded her term on the Herndon Town Council in 2024; and

WHEREAS, in her professional life, Donielle Scherff provides proposal management and support for federal defense contractors through her consulting firm, Scherff Consulting, LLC, and she has previously worked as manager of community outreach for an affiliate of the Public Broadcasting Service; and

WHEREAS, during her tenure on the Herndon Town Council, Donielle Scherff served on the Inter-Jurisdictional Committee and as an alternate on the Committee for Dulles and the Northern Virginia Regional Commission; and

WHEREAS, dedicated to making Herndon a welcoming and inclusive place for all, Donielle Scherff has made an impact on the community through her service with the Leadership Fairfax Equity Council, Opportunity Neighborhoods Herndon, the One Fairfax Equity Roundtable, and the Fairfax County Successful Children and Youth Policy Team and through her participation in PolicyLink's All-In Cities initiative; and

WHEREAS, with an unwavering commitment to the health, prosperity, and well-being of the community she serves, Donielle Scherff has helped to make Herndon a wonderful place to live, work, and raise a family; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED by the Senate, the House of Delegates concurring, That the General Assembly hereby commend Donielle M. Scherff as she concludes her term on the Herndon Town Council; and, be it

RESOLVED FURTHER, That the Clerk of the Senate prepare a copy of this resolution for presentation to Donielle M. Scherff as an expression of the General Assembly's admiration for her contributions to Herndon and the Commonwealth.
