Commending the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India Washington DC Chapter.

WHEREAS, the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India Washington DC Chapter, established in 2020, is an integral part of the global network of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India and has emerged as a leading platform for professionals in the accountancy field; and

WHEREAS, the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) Washington DC Chapter aims to make a lasting impact on the accountancy profession, continuously striving to improve financial decision-making in the real world and promoting high-quality financial standards through its programs and initiatives; and

WHEREAS, the ICAI Washington DC Chapter serves more than 150 chartered accountants in Washington, D.C., Virginia, and Maryland, offering a space for members to connect and share professional updates on accountancy, taxation, auditing, and assurance; and

WHEREAS, the ICAI Washington DC Chapter provides extensive networking opportunities for its members and contributes significantly to their professional and personal growth by organizing knowledge-sharing sessions, mentoring opportunities, and cultural events, including Diwali celebrations and community hikes; and

WHEREAS, the ICAI Washington DC Chapter plays a pivotal role in strengthening the relationship between India and the United States by hosting dialogues, events, and seminars, and publishing newsletters, aligning itself with the international mission and vision of ICAI; and

WHEREAS, the ICAI Washington DC Chapter collaborates closely with ICAI and other ICAI chapters across the United States and globally to leverage the expertise of chartered accountants, contributing to global development and the advancement of the profession; and

WHEREAS, the ICAI Washington DC Chapter is committed to promoting corporate social responsibility and creating sustainable strategies within the professional community, driving positive social impact; and

WHEREAS, the ICAI Washington DC Chapter is dedicated to creating economic opportunities for its constituents and serving the wider community by fostering financial literacy, entrepreneurship, and business growth through its initiatives and partnerships; and

WHEREAS, the ICAI Washington DC Chapter's founding members—Pratyusha Meda, Gokuldas Pai, Praveen Jain, and Miloni Dhruv—played a crucial role in establishing the chapter and continue to support its mission; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED by the Senate of Virginia, That the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India Washington DC Chapter hereby be commended for its exceptional contributions to the accountancy profession, its advocacy for high-quality financial standards, and its impact on the professional and social growth of its members; and, be it

RESOLVED FURTHER, That the Clerk of the Senate prepare a copy of this resolution for presentation to representatives of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India Washington DC Chapter, as an expression of the Senate of Virginia's admiration for the chapter's outstanding service and its continued dedication to the success of the accounting profession.
