Commending Dory Wilson.

WHEREAS, in 2024, Dory Wilson of the Oscar Smith High School football team was named to the Virginia High School League Class 6 All-State First Team; and

WHEREAS, the Oscar Smith High School football team finished the 2024 season with a perfect 17–0 record and won the Virginia High School League Class 6 state championship; and

WHEREAS, during the 2024 season, the Oscar Smith Tigers earned their 20th Southeastern District championship title, their 12th 6A Region championship title, and their fifth state title in program history; and

WHEREAS, junior Dory Wilson was the recognized leader of a young Oscar Smith Tigers' offensive line, recording a praiseworthy 20 pancake blocks and giving up just two sacks in 15 total games; his leadership and production were instrumental to the victorious season; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED by the House of Delegates, That Dory Wilson hereby be commended on being selected as a member of the 2024 Virginia High School League Class 6 All-State First Team; and, be it

RESOLVED FURTHER, That the Clerk of the House of Delegates prepare a copy of this resolution for presentation to Dory Wilson as an expression of the House of Delegates' admiration for his athletic achievements.
