Commending Travis Johnson.

WHEREAS, in 2024, Travis Johnson of the Oscar Smith High School football team was named to the Virginia High School League Class 6 All-State First Team; and

WHEREAS, the Oscar Smith High School football team finished the 2024 season with a perfect 17–0 record and won the Virginia High School League Class 6 state championship; and

WHEREAS, during the 2024 season, the Oscar Smith Tigers earned their 20th Southeastern District championship title, their 12th 6A Region championship title, and their fifth state title in program history; and

WHEREAS, Travis Johnson is a rare four-star junior recruit at wide receiver who, despite missing the better part of three games due to an injury and constantly being double-teamed, managed to put up impressive numbers with a combination of 53 receptions and six carries for a total of 1,000 yards and 15 touchdowns; his production was instrumental in the Oscar Smith Tigers' offense scoring 583 total points for a 39 point-per-game average, and he has more than 40 college scholarship offers from elite institutions across the country; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED by the House of Delegates, That Travis Johnson hereby be commended on being selected as a member of the 2024 Virginia High School League Class 6 All-State First Team; and, be it

RESOLVED FURTHER, That the Clerk of the House of Delegates prepare a copy of this resolution for presentation to Travis Johnson as an expression of the House of Delegates' admiration for his athletic achievements.
