Commending Kathryn Ha.

WHEREAS, Kathryn Ha of Salem High School and the Roanoke Valley Governor's School became the first person in Virginia High School League (VHSL) history to win both the co-ed VHSL individual state title and the Girls Open State Championship in the same season; she is a three-time VHSL Girls Open State Champion; and

WHEREAS, Kathryn Ha won the 55th Virginia State Golf Association Junior Girls Championship at James River Country Club in Newport News on July 3, 2024; and

WHEREAS, at the conclusion of the Virginia State Golf Association (VSGA) championship, Kathryn Ha was announced as the VSGA's first automatic qualifier for the United States Golf Association's U.S. Girls' Junior Championship, where she tied for 22nd place; and

WHEREAS, a month prior to her VSGA championship win, Kathryn Ha also won the Roanoke Valley Hall of Fame Tournament at Blue Hills Golf Course in Roanoke; and

WHEREAS, Kathryn Ha's accomplishments are the result of her hard work and dedication, the leadership and guidance of her parents and coaches, and the support of her community; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED by the Senate, the House of Delegates concurring, That the General Assembly hereby commend Kathryn Ha for a historic 2024 golf season; and, be it

RESOLVED FURTHER, That the Clerk of the Senate prepare a copy of this resolution for presentation to Kathryn Ha as an expression of the General Assembly's admiration for her achievements and best wishes for her continued success.
