Commending Sin Barreras.

WHEREAS, Sin Barreras, founded in 2012, has been providing immigration support services to individuals in the Charlottesville community for more than 12 years; and
WHEREAS, Sin Barreras was founded to help overcome the challenges that Spanish-speaking immigrants face in accessing essential services; and
WHEREAS, the mission of Sin Barreras is to empower immigrants and their families in Central Virginia, with a focus on the Hispanic population, by educating, advocating for, and supporting their needs; and
WHEREAS, Sin Barreras envisions a society where the essential needs of all its members are met, regardless of immigration status, color, economic class, or culture of origin; and
WHEREAS, Sin Barreras provides legal and immigration aid, advocates for equitable rights, ensures access to health services, and promotes self-sufficiency through education workshops, seminars, and cultural events; and
WHEREAS, the members of Sin Barreras have touched countless lives through their hard work and commitment to providing exceptional services to residents of Charlottesville in many areas and especially in the immigrant community; and
WHEREAS, Sin Barreras aims to break down barriers, celebrate diversity, and create a brighter, more connected community for all; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED by the House of Delegates, the Senate concurring, That the General Assembly hereby commend Sin Barreras for its years of service to residents of the Charlottesville area; and, be it
RESOLVED FURTHER, That the Clerk of the House of Delegates prepare a copy of this resolution for presentation to Sin Barreras as an expression of the General Assembly's admiration for its vital contributions to the community.
