SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 257

Commending Hollin Hall Cleaners.

Agreed to by the Senate, February 13, 2025

WHEREAS, for more than 45 years, Hollin Hall Cleaners has promoted environmentally sound and sustainable practices while providing exceptional dry cleaning and tailoring service to the residents of the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area; and

WHEREAS, established in Alexandria in 1979, Hollin Hall Cleaners has demonstrated an unparalleled commitment to the health and satisfaction of its customers and the overall health of the environment through its innovative GreenEarth cleaning process; and

WHEREAS, the GreenEarth cleaning process at Hollin Hall Cleaners is a safer approach to garment care, using gentle, odorless, and hypoallergenic products that leave clothes looking as good as new; and

WHEREAS, the experts at Hollin Hall Cleaners are well-versed in methods to care for delicate or unique items, including fine silks, cashmere, wool, lace, beads, or sequins; the business also offers specialized cleaning and restoration services for leather goods, wedding dresses, and household fabric items; and

WHEREAS, Hollin Hall Cleaners provides a full range of alterations and tailoring services to help customers look their best for work, social occasions, and everyday life; and

WHEREAS, Hollin Hall Cleaners strives to give back to the community through generous outreach programs and has increased awareness of sustainable cleaning practices among its peers in the industry; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED by the Senate of Virginia, That Hollin Hall Cleaners hereby be commended on the occasion of its 45th anniversary; and, be it

RESOLVED FURTHER, That the Clerk of the Senate prepare a copy of this resolution for presentation to Hollin Hall Cleaners as an expression of the Senate of Virginia's admiration for its legacy of service to generations of customers in and around Alexandria.
