Commending Il Giardino Ristorante.

WHEREAS, Il Giardino Ristorante is a beloved Italian fine dining restaurant that has created exceptional and memorable culinary experiences for the Virginia Beach community for more than 40 years; and
WHEREAS, Il Giardino Ristorante was founded by Tony Gargiulo, who drew inspiration for his new venture during a trip to Florence, Italy, in 1983, which led him to place a wood-burning oven in his new restaurant shortly thereafter, one of the first of its kind in the Commonwealth; and
WHEREAS, in addition to focaccia bread and pizza from its wood-burning oven, Il Giardino Ristorante serves up sumptuous portions of a variety of authentic Italian classics, including pasta, chicken, steak, veal, and seafood dishes; and
WHEREAS, Il Giardino Ristorante is committed to using only the freshest and highest quality ingredients and to making all of its menu items from scratch, enabling it to consistently deliver delicious and satisfying meals that keep its customers coming back time and again; and
WHEREAS, the extraordinary food at Il Giardino Ristorante is only enhanced by the restaurant's warm and welcoming ambiance and the lively atmosphere of its piano bar and lounge, making it a cherished spot for family and friends to gather; and
WHEREAS, the accomplishments of Il Giardino Ristorante are a testament to the visionary leadership of its owners, the tireless efforts of its staff, and the generous support of the Virginia Beach community; and
WHEREAS, Il Giardino Ristorante's dedication to excellence and exemplary service has helped to make Virginia Beach a wonderful place to live, work, and enjoy a meal; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED by the House of Delegates, That Il Giardino Ristorante hereby be commended for its impact on the culinary landscape and community of Virginia Beach; and, be it
RESOLVED FURTHER, That the Clerk of the House of Delegates prepare a copy of this resolution for presentation to Il Giardino Ristorante as an expression of the House of Delegates' admiration for its contributions to Virginia Beach and the Commonwealth.
