Commending the Virginia Asian Chamber of Commerce.

WHEREAS, the Virginia Asian Chamber of Commerce, established in 2004, serves as the official voice for Asian American Pacific Islander businesses in the Commonwealth, guiding entrepreneurs through the complexities of domestic and global markets; and

WHEREAS, the Virginia Asian Chamber of Commerce (VACC) represents a dynamic supply chain of first-generation and second-generation Asian entrepreneurs from 37 countries, all of whom make significant contributions to the Commonwealth's economic diversity and strength; and

WHEREAS, under the leadership of founder Tinh Duc Phan, who was recognized as one of Virginia's Top 50 People to Watch by Virginia Business Magazine, VACC played a pivotal role in creating the Small, Women-owned, and Minority-owned Business certification program, which has enhanced opportunities for underserved businesses statewide; and

WHEREAS, My Lan Tran, the executive director of VACC, who was honored as a Top Woman Business Executive Leader by Virginia Business Magazine, has been instrumental in developing strategic programming that fosters small business growth and advocacy; and

WHEREAS, VACC's robust network of more than 2,500 businesses and professionals spans nine states, contributing to job creation and economic development both nationally and globally; and

WHEREAS, VACC actively collaborates with nonprofit organizations, government agencies, educational institutions, and Fortune 100/500 companies to promote inclusivity and support for diverse entrepreneurs; and

WHEREAS, VACC works with local, state, and regional governmental bodies to address issues affecting the Asian business community, thereby strengthening the Commonwealth's economic fabric; and

WHEREAS, VACC's efforts have been recognized through multiple national awards, underscoring its leadership and impact within the business community; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED by the House of Delegates, That the Virginia Asian Chamber of Commerce hereby be commended for its significant contributions to the economic development and cultural diversity of the Commonwealth; and, be it

RESOLVED FURTHER, That the Clerk of the House of Delegates prepare a copy of this resolution for presentation to the Virginia Asian Chamber of Commerce as an expression of the House of Delegates' admiration for the Chamber's achievements and best wishes for its continued success.
