Commending Medlin Art Gallery.

WHEREAS, for more than four decades, Medlin Art Gallery has enhanced cultural life in Leesburg by promoting the fine arts and offering a wide selection of original artwork, prints, and framing services; and

WHEREAS, established in 1984, Medlin Art Gallery represents local, national, and international artists and carries original paintings, limited edition lithographs, antique prints, etchings, engravings, maps, and other works; and

WHEREAS, Medlin Art Gallery specializes in museum-quality custom framing and offers hundreds of frames from top brands to ensure that customers' artwork is not only protected but perfectly matches any decor; and

WHEREAS, Medlin Art Gallery has earned many awards and accolades for its commitment to excellence, including a Public Art Award from the Town of Leesburg at the 10th Annual Business Appreciation Awards in 2011; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED by the House of Delegates, the Senate concurring, That the General Assembly hereby commend Medlin Art Gallery, a trusted art dealer in Leesburg, on the occasion of its 40th anniversary; and, be it

RESOLVED FURTHER, That the Clerk of the House of Delegates prepare a copy of this resolution for presentation to Shirley and Pat Medlin, owners of Medlin Art Gallery, as an expression of the General Assembly's admiration for the gallery's contributions to the fine arts community throughout the region.
