Celebrating the life of Georgia Stewart Allison.

WHEREAS, Georgia Stewart Allison, a vibrant member of the Saltville community and a beloved mother and grandmother, died on October 22, 2024; and

WHEREAS, Georgia Allison was a devout member of Church of God of Prophecy, where her active leadership was inspirational to the congregation; and

WHEREAS, Georgia Allison lived her faith through her actions every day, touching many lives through her grace, kindness, compassion, and genuine concern for the well-being of others; and

WHEREAS, affectionately known as the “Queen Bee” of her family, Georgia Allison relished every opportunity to spend time with her loved ones, and her Sunday dinners, complete with her famous cornbread, were a cherished family tradition; and

WHEREAS, predeceased by her husband, Lawrence, Georgia Allison will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by her children, Patty, Amy, and Walter, and their families, and numerous other family members and friends; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That the House of Delegates hereby note with great sadness the loss of Georgia Stewart Allison, a highly admired resident of Saltville; and, be it

RESOLVED FURTHER, That the Clerk of the House of Delegates prepare a copy of this resolution for presentation to the family of Georgia Stewart Allison as an expression of the House of Delegates' respect for her memory.
