4. That notwithstanding the provisions of subsection A of § 23.1-2403 of the Code of Virginia, as amended by this act, the individual who serves in the role of chief executive officer of the Virginia Commonwealth University Health System Authority (the Authority) as of June 30, 2025, shall continue in such role until the date on which the board of directors of the Authority appoints such individual's successor in accordance with the provisions of this act.
