Commending Rebecca Nunn.

WHEREAS, Rebecca Nunn, a treasured member of the Kilmarnock community, won the national Ms. Senior Earth Global Pageant in Branson, Missouri, in May 2024; and

WHEREAS, in addition to winning the 2023 Ms. Virginia Senior Earth Global Pageant, Rebecca Nunn was also named Ms. Virginia Senior America in 2016, Ms. Super Senior Virginia USA in 2019, and Ms. Virginia Senior World in 2020; and

WHEREAS, prior to being named Ms. Senior Earth, Rebecca Nunn had several strong pageant performances at the national and international level and won the People's Choice Award in the America's Super Pageant in 2022; and

WHEREAS, at the national Ms. Senior Earth Global Pageant in 2024, Rebecca Nunn competed against 14 other contestants from around the world in various events, including runway fashion, state costumes, evening gowns, and talent; she notably also won the People's Choice Award at the event with 600 votes; and

WHEREAS, as Ms. Senior Earth, Rebecca Nunn will promote the Ms. Senior Earth Global Pageant throughout the year and will crown her successor when the next pageant is held in Memphis, Tennessee in 2025; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED by the House of Delegates, the Senate concurring, That the General Assembly hereby commend Rebecca Nunn for winning the 2024 national Ms. Senior Earth Global Pageant; and, be it

RESOLVED FURTHER, That the Clerk of the House of Delegates prepare a copy of this resolution for presentation to Rebecca Nunn as an expression of the General Assembly's admiration for her achievements and best wishes for her continued success.
