Commending Kayla Heath.

WHEREAS, Kayla Heath, a fifth grade teacher at Lynnhaven Elementary School in Virginia Beach, was named her school's Teacher of the Year in 2024; and

WHEREAS, Kayla Heath strives each day to cultivate a learning environment in her classroom in which her students can thrive, contributing greatly to their academic, social, and emotional well-being; and

WHEREAS, Kayla Heath engages her students and inspires their creativity, fostering their success both in and out of the classroom; and

WHEREAS, Kayla Heath gives generously of her time to support her fellow educators and staff at Lynnhaven Elementary School, helping them to achieve their full potential; and

WHEREAS, with an unwavering commitment to the growth and development of her students, Kayla Heath has exemplified the highest ideals of the teaching profession and earned the esteem and admiration of all Virginians; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED by the House of Delegates, That Kayla Heath hereby be commended for being named Lynnhaven Elementary School's Teacher of the Year in 2024; and, be it

RESOLVED FURTHER, That the Clerk of the House of Delegates prepare a copy of this resolution for presentation to Kayla Heath as an expression of the House of Delegates' admiration for her achievements as an educator.
