Commending the Brunswick Academy girls' volleyball team.

WHEREAS, the Brunswick Academy girls' volleyball team claimed its first-ever state title with a victory in the Virginia Independent Schools Athletic Association Division IV state championship in November 2024; and
WHEREAS, the Brunswick Academy Vikings defeated a talented team from Denbigh Baptist Christian School in three sets, winning with scores of 25–17, 25–19, and 25–19; and
WHEREAS, Bayne Carroll, who was selected as the Virginia Colonial Conference (VCC) Player of the Year, led the Brunswick Vikings with eight kills, eight aces, and six blocks; Kylie Walker also notched eight kills, and she and Aubrey Corum each recorded a team-high of 12 digs; and
WHEREAS, Bayne Carroll, Kylie Walker, and Aubrey Corum were named to the All-Conference First Team, while Ava Fadool was selected as the All-Tournament Most Valuable Player and named to the All-Tournament Team with Kylie Walker and Lexi Howerton; and
WHEREAS, after the Brunswick Vikings finished the season with an impressive 31–3–1 record and the state crown, Joanne Reese was also selected as the VCC Coach of the Year; and
WHEREAS, the successful season was a tribute to the skill and hard work of all the student-athletes, the leadership and guidance of coaches and staff, and the passionate support of family members, friends, and the entire Brunswick Academy community; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED by the House of Delegates, That the Brunswick Academy girls' volleyball team hereby be commended on winning the Virginia Independent Schools Athletic Association Division IV state championship in 2024; and, be it
RESOLVED FURTHER, That the Clerk of the House of Delegates prepare a copy of this resolution for presentation to Joanne Reese, head coach of the Brunswick Academy girls' volleyball team, as an expression of the House of Delegates' admiration for the team's athletic achievements.
