Commending Elijah Aistrop.

WHEREAS, Elijah Aistrop, a student at Northwood High School, represented the Commonwealth at the Microsoft Office Specialist U.S. National Championship held from June 17–19, 2024, in Orlando, Florida; and

WHEREAS, Elijah Aistrop qualified for the Microsoft Office Specialist U.S. National Championship after placing first in the Virginia state competition, completing the Microsoft Office Specialist certification with a perfect score in just over 21 minutes; and

WHEREAS, Elijah Aistrop's triumph is a testament to Northwood High School's and Smyth County Public Schools' commitment to preparing students for successful careers through an emphasis on industry certifications; and

WHEREAS, Elijah Aistrop was recognized for his state championship win during the annual dinner of the Chamber of Commerce of Smyth County in 2024; and

WHEREAS, Elijah Aistrop's accomplishment is the result of his hard work and dedication, the leadership and guidance of his teachers, and the unwavering support of his family and the entire Northwood High School community; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED by the House of Delegates, That Elijah Aistrop hereby be commended for competing in the 2024 Microsoft Office Specialist U.S. National Championship; and, be it

RESOLVED FURTHER, That the Clerk of the House of Delegates prepare a copy of this resolution for presentation to Elijah Aistrop as an expression of the House of Delegates' admiration for his achievement and best wishes in his future endeavors.
