Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:

1. That the Code of Virginia is amended by adding a section numbered 22.1-288.3 as follows:

§ 22.1-288.3. Scholastic records; certain redactions required.

A. As used in this section, "scholastic record" means the same as that term is defined in § 22.1-289.

B. Notwithstanding subdivision A 1 of § 2.2-3705.4 or any other provision of law to the contrary, any school board or employee thereof shall redact the address of a student's custodial parent on any scholastic record of such student that is made available to such student's noncustodial parent.
