Commending Olivia Bryant.

WHEREAS, Olivia Bryant, a student and musician at Chilhowie High School, performed with the National FFA Band at the 97th National FFA Convention and Expo in October 2024; and

WHEREAS, the daughter of cattle farmers, Olivia Bryant is the parliamentarian of Chilhowie High School's FFA, which stands for Future Farmers of America, advising the chapter's president and members on procedural matters; and

WHEREAS, Olivia Bryant was selected to be a member of the National FFA Band, which performs at a series of events during the National FFA Convention and Expo, from a group of students across the national organization's 9,235 chapters; and

WHEREAS, Olivia Bryant has been playing with her school band since sixth grade, first on the trombone and more recently on the French horn and mellophone; and

WHEREAS, as a result of her dedication and hard work, Olivia Bryant has been selected twice to perform with the National FFA Band and has earned all-county band and all-district band honors the last two years; and

WHEREAS, Olivia Bryant's accomplishments are the result of her effort and perseverance, the guidance of her band director and teachers, and the unwavering support of her family and the entire Chilhowie High School community; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED by the House of Delegates, That Olivia Bryant hereby be commended for being selected to perform with the National FFA Band at the 97th National FFA Convention and Expo; and, be it

RESOLVED FURTHER, That the Clerk of the House of Delegates prepare a copy of this resolution for presentation to Olivia Bryant as an expression of the House of Delegates' admiration for her achievements and best wishes for her continued success.
