Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Virginia:

1. That the Code of Virginia is amended by adding a section numbered 8.01-622.3 as follows:

§ 8.01-622.3. Injunction against disclosure of certain information provided by students who receive home instruction or their parents.

In accordance with the prohibitions set forth in subsection G of § 22.1-254.1, an injunction may be awarded to prevent any division superintendent or local school board from disclosing to the Department of Education or any other person or entity outside of the local school division information that is provided by a student who receives home instruction or the parent of such student to satisfy the requirements of § 22.1-254.1 or subdivision B 1 of § 22.1-254.
