Commending Debbie Rountree.

WHEREAS, Debbie Rountree was honored as the 2024 Woman of the Year by the Women's Division Hampton Roads Chamber of Commerce Chesapeake; and
WHEREAS, with more than 30 years of experience in real estate, Debbie Rountree has helped countless individuals and families throughout Chesapeake and Hampton Roads find the perfect home; she is a member of the National Association of REALTORS®, the Virginia Association of REALTORS®, and the Hampton Roads REALTORS® Association, as well as a past member of the Tidewaters Builder Association and the Hampton Roads Chamber of Commerce; and
WHEREAS, Debbie Rountree has worked diligently to enhance the quality of life in the South Norfolk neighborhood of Chesapeake as a past vice president of the South Norfolk Civic League, past board member of Chesapeake Friends of the Arts, and a past member of the South Norfolk Woman's Club, the South Norfolk Historical Restoration Commission, and the South Norfolk Revitalization Committee; and
WHEREAS, Debbie Rountree has used her expertise in interior design to furnish homes for numerous charitable events and fundraisers to support worthy causes in Chesapeake; and
WHEREAS, Debbie Rountree has generously volunteered her time and leadership in many other ways, including by delivering Thanksgiving dinners through Buffalow Family and Friends Community Days, working at the Help and Emergency Response, Inc., Shelter, offering her leadership to the board of the Chesapeake Area Shelter Team, chairing the Willoughby Civic Crime Watch, and collecting food, clothing, shoes, blankets, and other necessities for people in need; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED by the Senate, the House of Delegates concurring, That the General Assembly hereby commend Debbie Rountree on the occasion of her selection as the 2024 Woman of the Year by the Women's Division Hampton Roads Chamber of Commerce Chesapeake; and, be it
RESOLVED FURTHER, That the Clerk of the Senate prepare a copy of this resolution for presentation to Debbie Rountree as an expression of the General Assembly's admiration for her personal and professional achievements.
